I work with my hands and tend to be hard on rings so lately I got a Moissanite ring to wear instead of my wedding band. When it arrived, the stone was beautiful and clear, but HUGE and made me self conscious, so I wanted to give this a try.
This arrives in a brown cardboard box and the ring is in a ziplock bag, which I find odd. Inside there is a certificate of authenticity and a lovely blue ring box with a tiny led light inside that turns on when you open it. Although the initial impression is not great, if the ring was presented in the box it would certainly be giftable packaging.
The finish is bright and shiny and quite nice. I found the small stones to have just the right amount of sparkle that it is hard to tell if they are real diamonds or not. The main stone is 1 ct and depending on the light you will think it is diamond or know it's not based on the sparkle. Comparing this to my original Moissanite stone, this is ever so slightly yellow leaning, but when held by itself it looks clear.
I did find this ring ran a little small. I normally wear a size 6 so that is what I ordered and I was surprised to find that it was snug and would leave a line on my finger. Initially I thought maybe it was water or weight gain (it IS the holidays after all) but when I put it on the ring sizer I found it actually is slightly small, about 1/4th of a size. Not enough to be painful or return, just enough to make it a little snug.
